Kilvey Hill & Landore Park & Ride Update
Works Update at Landore Park & Ride
Our teams are now on-site at Landore Park & Ride, preparing the area for the base station of the new gondola.
What does this mean?
-
The former bus terminal has been deconstructed, ahead of piling and foundation works for the base station.
-
We continue to install hoardings and fencing to safely separate the worksite from the rest of the car park.
-
Council-led works are ongoing. The bus stop has been relocated to the other side of the road at the Park & Ride.
-
Access to Landore Park & Ride remains open, but parking capacity has reduced while works are underway.

Works underway on Kilvey Hill
Work is also underway on Kilvey Hill, where earthworks are taking place to prepare the ground for the downhill karting ‘luge’ tracks and associated infrastructure.
We recognise that changes to the landscape are noticeable. Tree clearance has been carried out in line with ecological advice and approved plans, with many of the trees removed identified as diseased or non-native. Felled material has been mulched into biomass to support renewable energy generation. Working with certified ecologists, we have plans to replant three native trees and shrubs for every tree removed and have started sourcing tree whips and native meadow seeds for planting later in the project.
In addition, sustainable drainage systems (SuDS) are also being installed to help manage water run-off through planting and landscape design. This is intended to support biodiversity and environmental outcomes over time.
Hoardings and fencing have been installed. This is to ensure the safety of the public and our workers on-site.
