Gondola Line Works are Moving Forward
Over the coming weeks and months, tree felling will continue as part of the construction programme for the Skyline Swansea Project. This work is focused on the gondola corridor and is an important step in delivering the gondola line.
What does this mean?
- Some of the works will be visible from nearby roads but are not expected to affect traffic flow or public access. No traffic management measures are required.
- Public access to the hill is maintained throughout.
- A safety exclusion zone is in place around the active work area. A banksman will be in place to manage safe passage where a pathway crosses the active work site.
- The works are being carried out under the supervision of certified ecologists.
All vegetation removed will be mulched to support renewable energy generation and replaced with native broadleaf species, native shrubs, and grassland seeding as part of the project’s biodiversity commitments.
